2023 Frances Bean Cobain, daughter of Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love, marries Riley Hawk, son of skateboarding legend Tony Hawk, in a ceremony officiated by Michael Stipe of R.E.M., Frances' godfather.

1999 The first and only ARTISTdirect Online Music Awards are held at the House Of Blues in Los Angeles, with winners selected in online voting. 1998 Charmed debuts on the WB network with the Love Spit Love cover of "How Soon Is Now" as the theme song. Two years earlier, this same cover was used in the movie The Craft, which like Charmed, is about a coven of high school girls.
