December 17, 1986 The Doobie Brothers reunite for a benefit concert in Palo Alto, California, which leads to a reunion tour and album.

September 7, 1986 Mike Nesmith joins the other three Monkees on stage during their reunion tour concert in Los Angeles.

May 24, 1986 The Monkees, minus Mike Nesmith, begin their 145-date "20th Anniversary World Tour" at the Concord Hotel in the Catskill Mountains. The group has risen in popularity thanks to MTV, which started airing old episodes of their TV show.

August 28, 1984 With over one million ticket sales in only two months, the Jacksons' reunion tour, entitled Victory, becomes the most successful concert tour of all time.

July 18, 1983 Following up on momentum from their free Central Park reunion concert, Simon and Garfunkel start a 19-city tour in Akron, Ohio.

April 30, 1983 The original lineup of Manfred Mann re-forms to play the 25th anniversary celebration of the Marquee Club in London, where they played when they were just starting out.

April 19, 1982 Simon & Garfunkel reunite for a world tour, but split up again in the midst of it.

November 7, 1981 The Kingston Trio play a reunion concert at the Magic Mountain theme park in Los Angeles that is recorded for a PBS special.

September 19, 1981 Simon & Garfunkel reunite for a free concert in New York's Central Park.

October 28, 1980 Five of Walt Disney's original Mouseketeers (Annette, Cubby, Tommy, Sherry, and Dickie) gather in Burbank, California, to celebrate the show's 25th anniversary.

July 3, 1976 At a show in Anaheim, California, Brian Wilson appears onstage with The Beach Boys for the first time in 12 years.

November 21, 1974 Marty Balin, who founded Jefferson Airplane in 1965 but left in a welter of conflict with Grace Slick and Paul Kantner, reunites with the band, now known as Jefferson Starship, at a show at the Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco. At first he claims to be a "hired gun," but he gradually comes back to the band full time, delivering their hit "Miracles" on their next album, Red Octopus.

June 24, 1973 Blues Project reunite for a concert in Central Park.

June 2, 1972 Former teen idol Dion performs in a reunion concert with The Belmonts at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

April 11, 2022 At the CMT Awards, The Judds reunite for their first TV appearance in 20 years, performing their 1990 song "Love Can Build A Bridge." Earlier that day, the mother-daughter duo also announced a 10-date arena run across the US dubbed "The Final Tour," with Martina McBride as a supporting act.

November 6, 2020 System Of A Down release two songs - "Protect The Land" and "Genocidal Humanoidz" - supporting their home country of Armenia in a war that has broken out in the region. It's the first new material from the band since their album Hypnotize in 2005.

December 20, 2019 My Chemical Romance return after a seven-year absence with a show at the Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles.

July 9, 2019 After years of animosity that kept Ann and Nancy Wilson apart, Heart regroup for their Love Alive tour, which kicks off with a show in St. Louis. Support acts are all women: Joan Jett, Sheryl Crow, Brandi Carlile and Elle King.

March 1, 2019 After a six-year hiatus, the Jonas Brothers announce their reunion, dropping a new song called "Sucker."

March 25, 2018 Founding member Steven Page, who left the Barenaked Ladies nine years earlier, performs with the band at the Juno Awards, where they are honored for their induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. Gord Downie of The Tragically Hip, who died the previous year, earns Artist of the Year.

April 23, 2017 Bananarama announce their intention to reunite with a UK tour. Aside from a brief regroup for a Eurovision special years earlier, the original trio hasn't performed together since Siobhan Fahey's departure in 1988.More

May 13, 2016 Tower of Power play a California prison with former lead singer Rick Stevens, who served 36 years for a 1976 drug-related triple homicide.

April 8, 2016 The Guns N' Roses reunion tour gets underway in Las Vegas. Axl Rose, who fractured his foot at a warm-up show, performs from the throne Dave Grohl used to play Foo Fighters shows when he was hobbled.More

February 12, 2016 Ween play the first of three reunion shows in Broomfield, Colorado. Originally, only two shows are scheduled, (for February 12 and 13), but the demand for tickets is so high during the pre-sale period that a third show is added on February 14. This marks the official return of Ween after breaking up nearly four years before.

January 5, 2016 Guns N' Roses confirm that Slash and Duff McKagan, who have not performed with the band since 1993, will join them for their headline set at Coachella. They later announce a full tour with Slash and McKagan.

November 16, 2015 Ween announce that they will come together to play two shows in early 2016. This is the first time the band will be together since their breakup in 2012.

June 22, 2015 On the reality dating show The Bachelorette, Jared and Kaitlyn visit Christchurch Cathedral in Dublin, where they are serenaded by Noel Hogan and Dolores O'Riordan of The Cranberries, who perform "Linger." The couple dance and make out as O'Riordan sings: Were you lying all the time? Was it just a game to you?More

September 16, 2014 At a pop-up shop in New York City that re-creates the Central Perk coffee shop from the TV show Friends, Danny Wilde and Phil Solem of The Rembrandts reunite to perform the show's theme song. The event marks the 20th anniversary of the show's first episode.

June 5, 2013 Rob Halford announces that Judas Priest will be re-forming after their retirement two years earlier.

January 12, 2013 Black Sabbath, complete with their newly reunited original frontman Ozzy Osbourne, announce the upcoming release of the album 13, the first Black Sabbath album in 18 years (since 1995's Forbidden).
