May 11, 1999

Sabrina Carpenter is born in Quakertown, Pennsylvania. In 2014 when she's 15, she stars in the Disney show Girl Meets World and sings the theme song. When the show ends three years later, she devotes more time to music, and in 2024 lands a big hit with "Espresso."

August 3, 2009

Ten-year-old Sabrina Carpenter posts her first video on YouTube: a cover of Taylor Swift's "Picture To Burn." Fifteen years later, she opens for Swift on the Eras Tour.

June 27, 2014

Girl Meets World debuts on Disney Channel, starring 15-year-old Sabrina Carpenter, who also sings the theme song. Carpenter releases her first two albums during the show's three-year run and develops her skills as a songwriter. In 2022 she breaks through musically with her fifth album, Emails I Can't Send, which earns her a spot opening for Taylor Swift on the Eras Tour.

March 10, 2020

Sabrina Carpenter makes her Broadway debut in Mean Girls, but the production is shut down two days later when all Broadway shows close because of the COVID pandemic.

July 15, 2022

After four somewhat disappointing albums with Hollywood Records, Sabrina Carpenter releases Emails I Can't Send on Island, built around the concept of messages she wrote but never sent. It includes the breakout hit Nonsense and leads to a gig opening for Taylor Swift.

April 11, 2024

Sabrina Carpenter releases Espresso, a frothy bop that becomes her first big hit and is the consensus song of the summer.

August 23, 2024

Sabrina Carpenter releases her sixth album, Short n' Sweet. With the hits "Espresso" and "Please Please Please," it's a musical breakout for the former Disney actress, putting her in league with other actress-turned-singers like Ariana Grande and Olivia Rodrigo.

February 4, 2026

Sabrina Carpenter is the guest star on a Muppet Show special that reunites Kermit and the gang to celebrate their 50th anniversary. She performs "Manchild" to some of the more dimwitted monsters, and has beef (or would it be pork?) with Miss Piggy.

April 17, 2026

Madonna makes a surprise appearance during Sabrina Carpenter's headlining set at Coachella, rising from the stage to perform "Vogue" and "Like a Prayer" alongside Carpenter and debut "Bring Your Love," the lead single from her upcoming Confessions II album. Madonna's first appearance at the festival was 20 years earlier in 2006 when she prepared to launch her Confessions Tour.
