September 7, 2008 While performing the song "Morning Glory" at the V Festival in Toronto, Noel Gallagher of Oasis is attacked by a concert-goer who rushes the stage and pushes him into his monitor. The band continues the show, but Gallagher is taken to a hospital that night to treat injuries to his ribs. He suffers a fractured rib and ligament damage, which forces the cancellation of several Oasis concerts.

June 28, 2007 Rod Stewart receives ten stitches in his leg after slipping onstage in Manchester, England.

April 27, 2006 62-year-old Keith Richards of The Rolling Stones falls out of a palm tree while vacationing in Fiji and goes to the hospital with a concussion, creating a rare news event on the island.

October 31, 2005 En route to the next stop on their Never Sleep Again tour, the van carrying Bayside skids on a patch of ice and flips over on a highway in Cheyenne, Wyoming, killing 31-year-old drummer John "Beatz" Holohan. Most of the other band members sustain minor injuries, except for bassist Nick Ghanbarian who breaks his back when he's thrown from the vehicle.

October 23, 2005 Rapper Cam'ron is shot during an early morning carjacking attempt in Washington, D.C. Two men pull alongside Cam'ron's 2006 Lamborghini and open fire while the artist is stopped at a traffic light at New York and New Jersey avenues. He is hit by one bullet, which travels through one of his arms and into the other. He drives himself to Howard University Hospital for treatment.

April 28, 2005 Eddie Montgomery of country duo Montgomery Gentry seriously injures his left wrist during a show in Asheville, North Carolina, after he falls to the arena floor from a speaker cabinet onstage.

January 5, 2004 Ray Davies of The Kinks is shot in the leg when he pursues two men who snatched his girlfriend's purse. He sings about it on his 2018 track "The Big Guy."

December 8, 2003 Ozzy Osbourne suffers several fractures in his upper body in an ATV accident.

October 15, 2003 The members of veteran independent rock act Dub Narcotic Sound System are involved in a car accident, forcing the hospitalization of frontman Calvin Johnson and bassist Chris Sutton.

September 13, 2003 Dave Clark Five lead singer Mike Smith suffers a tragic fall from a ladder at his home in Spain, leaving him without any movement in three limbs. He would remain a near-quadriplegic until his death in 2008 from pneumonia, a complication of the original injury.

June 3, 2003 Barry Manilow suffers a broken nose after he accidentally walks into a wall at his home in Palm Springs, California, and knocks himself unconscious. Although he passed out for four hours, he doesn't endure any lasting effects and doctors determine that surgery is not necessary.

May 25, 2002 The mosh pit goes horribly wrong at an Eminem concert in Washington, D.C.'s RFK Stadium, and at least 25 people are injured.

May 3, 2002 Doug Firley of Gravity Kills drops a keyboard on his hand, shattering the bones in his right ring finger during a show in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

April 24, 2002 Pop singer Jewel breaks a collarbone and a rib when she is thrown from a horse at the Texas ranch of her boyfriend, rodeo star Ty Murray.

September 25, 2001 Rapper Erick Sermon sustains serious injuries when, according to his publicist, he is involved in an auto accident. It is announced by police one week later that the injuries are actually the result of a plunge out a third-story window.

January 1, 2000 George Harrison is informed that he will be able to play guitar again following knife injuries to his hand during Michael Abram's recent home invasion.

September 26, 1998 Prince (who is using an unpronounceable symbol as his name) injures his ankle performing at a show in Atlantic City and is forced to postpone his remaining tour dates.

May 16, 1998 Keith Richards injures his ribs and chest when he falls from a chair at his Connecticut home; The Rolling Stones are forced to reschedule the first four dates of their upcoming tour while he recovers.

April 29, 1998 While performing "Mama Kin" at a show in Anchorage, Alaska, Steven Tyler of Aerosmith loses control of his microphone stand, which hits him in the leg. He falls, tearing his ACL. This forces the band to postpone the rest of their tour while Tyler recovers from surgery.

October 3, 1997 Sugar Ray are grounded when lead singer Mark McGrath hurts his leg in Bologna, Italy on the first date of their European tour, which is postponed.

June 2, 1995 Stone Roses guitarist John Squire smashes his collarbone in a cycling accident, causing the band to pull out of major gigs.

January 29, 1994 Mary Wilson (of The Supremes) is injured and her 14-year-old son is killed in a California auto accident.

October 19, 1991 At a gig in Texas, Nirvana's Kurt Cobain gets in a fight with a bouncer. While crowd surfing, the bouncer shoves him back into the crowd by the face, to which Cobain responds by driving the butt of his guitar into the bouncer's own mug. Barely back on his feet, Cobain gets a sucker punch to the back of the head before his bandmates jump in to help him.

November 17, 1990 While speeding without a helmet, David Crosby (of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young) crashes his Harley-Davidson motorcycle in Los Angeles, breaking his shoulder, left leg, and ankle.

November 12, 1990 Ron Wood, formerly of The Faces and currently of The Rolling Stones, is badly injured when hit by a car in London, breaking both legs.

September 7, 1988 Barry Sadler is shot while riding in a Guatemala City taxi (he will die from his injuries 14 months later).

October 2, 1983 ABBA's Agnetha Faltskog is involved in a car crash in Skane, Sweden, and suffers a concussion but soon recovers.

April 15, 1982 Billy Joel breaks his left wrist when a car slams into his motorcycle in Long Island. He has surgery on his hand and stays in the hospital for over a month.

March 18, 1982 Soul singer Teddy Pendergrass of Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes is partially paralyzed following a car accident in Philadelphia, where his Rolls Royce skids off a road and crashes.

January 15, 1982 Harry Casey (the KC in KC and the Sunshine Band) is badly injured in a head-on collision in Hialeah, Florida. After a long rehab, he returns to action and lands another hit in 1984 with "Give It Up."
