November 22, 2019 Pollstar publishes their list of the top touring artists of the 2010s in North America. U2 is on top with a gross of $1,038,104,132, followed by The Rolling Stones ($929,196,083), Ed Sheeran ($922,361,663), Taylor Swift ($899,627,048) and Bon Jovi ($868,715,392).

December 4, 2014 ASCAP lists its Top 30 Holiday Songs of the Century, with "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town" topping the tally.

December 18, 2009 Pollstar declares Dave Matthews Band the highest-grossing touring artist of the 2010s in North America, with about $530 million in earnings. May 26, 2006 The right-leaning National Review reveals their list of the 50 greatest conservative rock songs. January 22, 1985 In his annual list of the Worst-Dressed Women, designer/fashion critic Mr. Blackwell names Cher the Worst of 1984, writing that she "has little or less respect for being a woman." Cyndi Lauper comes in at #4 ("looks like the aftermath of the San Francisco earthquake"), and rounding out the list in a tie for #10 are Dee Snider of Twisted Sister ("a car crash in a whorehouse) and Prince ("a toothpick wrapped in a purple doily").

June 1, 1974 The UK music magazine NME publishes its list of the 100 Greatest Albums. The Top 3: #3: The Beach Boys' Pet Sounds #2: Bob Dylan's Blonde On Blonde #1: The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper

November 16, 2006 Queen's Greatest Hits is declared the most popular album of all time in Britain, with more than 5.5 million units sold. The Beatles come in second with Sgt. Pepper.

June 1, 2006 The UK Albums chart turns 50 years old, and in a survey by the book of British Hit Singles and Albums and NME, Definitely Maybe by Oasis is voted the greatest album of all time. The Beatles come in second and third place with Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and Revolver; OK Computer by Radiohead is fourth and (What's the Story) Morning Glory? by Oasis comes in fifth.

April 15, 1971 Rolling Stone reports that the Illinois Crime Commission has issued a list of "drug-oriented rock records," which includes Jefferson Airplane's "White Rabbit," Procol Harum's "A Whiter Shade of Pale," and "Puff The Magic Dragon" by Peter, Paul and Mary.

July 15, 2011 To celebrate the 50th anniversary of their Adult Contemporary chart, which had various names over the years, including Easy Listening, Billboard publishes its list of the top 100 Adult Contemporary songs of all time, with Savage Garden's "Truly Madly Deeply" at #1, followed by "Lead Me On" by Maxine Nightingale and "Drift Away" by Uncle Kracker.
