Queen Release "Fat Bottomed Girls"/"Bicycle Race" Single
1978Queen release their "Fat Bottomed Girls"/"Bicycle Race" single, featuring a cover photo that combines imagery from both songs.
One of the first booty songs, Queen guitarist Brian May wrote "Fat Bottomed Girls" with lead singer Freddie Mercury in mind, as he could appreciate girls (or boys) with substantial fundaments. Mercury wrote "Bicycle Race" after watching the Tour de France. For the video, they had 65 models ride bicycles in the nued around Wimbledon stadium in England, which also provided the cover photo for the single along with a poster that was included with the Jazz album. Most retailers carry the cover with a bikini bottom added to the photo.
