September 8, 1979

Pink is born Alecia Moore in Abington, Pennsylvania. She becomes a huge pop star with soul-baring songs like "Family Portrait" and party jams like "Raise Your Glass." Highly athletic, she's also the first major singer to do aerial routines while performing, which she incorporates into her act in 2004.

July 17, 1996

The song "Key To My Heart" by the R&B trio Choice appears in the movie Kazaam, starring Shaquille O'Neal as a 5,000-year-old genie. Choice quickly disbands but their stand-out singer, Alecia Moore, goes on to greatness as Pink.

April 4, 2000

Pink, 20 years old, releases her debut album, Can't Take Me Home, with the hits "There You Go" and "Most Girls." It establishes her as a tough, athletic pop star who writes most of her own songs.

June 2, 2001

A cover of the chart-topping 1974 Labelle hit "Lady Marmalade" by Christina Aguilera, Missy Elliott, Pink, Mya and Lil' Kim takes the song back to the top spot, making Lil' Kim the first female rapper to appear on a Hot 100 #1 hit.

November 20, 2001

Pink releases her breakthrough second album, M!ssundaztood, which includes the hits "Get The Party Started" and "Family Portrait."More

January 26, 2004

Britney Spears, Pink and Beyoncé star as Roman gladiators sent to fight to the death by emperor Enrique Iglesias in a lavish Pepsi commercial. Instead of fighting, they sing "We Will Rock You" and drink soda.

February 19, 2004

Pink introduces an aerial routine into her repertoire when she sings "Get The Party Started" while swinging from silk ropes at her Dublin show to kick off her Try This tour. The aerials become a hallmark of her shows and get more elaborate as she improves her skills. She does some aerial acrobatics while singing at the Grammy Awards in 2010 and again in 2014.

February 8, 2004

Pink wins her first solo Grammy Award when her Try This single "Trouble" is named Best Female Rock Vocal Performance. She previously earned a trophy for Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals in 2002 alongside Christina Aguilera, Lil' Kim and Mýa for their rendition of "Lady Marmalade."

June 26, 2005

Pink proposes to her boyfriend, motocross rider Carey Hart, by holding up a sign that says "Will You Marry Me?" while he is racing in Mammoth, California. On the next lap, she adds, "I'm Serious." He pulls out of the race to say yes; the couple get married the following year.

January 7, 2006

Pink marries the motocross rider Carey Hart in Costa Rica.

September 27, 2008

Pink earns her first solo #1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 with "So What" from her fifth studio album, Funhouse. It holds the position for one week.

March 26, 2009

Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy hosts the MTV Australia Awards. His band wins Best Rock Video for "I Don't Care," while Pink's "So What" takes Best Video.

June 2, 2011

Pink and her husband, Carey Hart, welcome their first child, a daughter named Willow Sage.

September 26, 2012

Pink, aka "P!nk," lands her first #1 album in America with The Truth About Love. Her sixth studio album, it features the hits "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)" and "Just Give Me A Reason."

December 26, 2016

Pink gives birth to her second child, a baby boy named Jameson Moon. The father is the singer's motocross-star husband, Carey Hart.

May 26, 2022

Pink, who wrote and performed the theme song to The Ellen DeGeneres Show ("Today's The Day"), appears on the last episode, where she sings "What About Us" at Ellen's request.

June 7, 2023

Pink kicks off her Summer Carnival tour in Bolton, England. It runs well past the summer, going into November 2024. Pink opens and closes each show with an aerial routine, singing high above the crowd while doing flips. Let's see Taylor Swift do that!

November 18, 2024

In Orlando, Florida, Pink wraps up her Summer Carnival tour, which earns about $694 million over 97 dates. That's more than Beyoncé hauled in on her Renaissance tour but about a third of what Taylor Swift made on her Eras tour.

June 7, 2026

The Tony Awards shake things up by going off Broadway for a host: Pink, who fits right in with aerial stunts, vocal dexterity and eye-catching costumes. She opens the show with a grand production number based on "Lady Marmalade" from Moulin Rouge.
